This place certainly has a divine palpable energy and you feel it the moment you start descending the ramp towards the retreat and the mesmerising Ganga. The owner Inderjeet Singh is an absolute delight and one of the most interesting people we've met. The passion with which he has built this place is evident and his stories are most inspiring. Our room, Ramana 2 was large, comfortable with stunning views of the river. The river, relatively silent here (runs deep on this stretch), is audible at all times. Most therapeutic. The wilderness is raw, welcoming and truly refreshing. I spent most of my time at the exclusive, private white sand beach here I've been coming to Shivpuri since forever but this access to the river has been the best so far. There is nothing generic about Spashram. Inderjeet takes such good care of every detail we especially enjoyed the sumptuous food and conversations under a charming dining tent. Truly fun evenings spent there with him. Breakfast was as glorious, outdoors, overlooking pristine waters of the Ganga amidst green lush hills. You essentially feel like a cherished, pampered house guest. Cannot wait to return. A special mention for the super efficient staff. Always smiling ready to help. THANK YOU.

Al fresco lunches, bonfire outdoor camps, dinner in a tent to the sound of the night, sky full of stars, the lull of the Ganges as she roars silently down the valley, the early morning chirp of birds greeting you, and the food for the soul. The best location with... read more birdlife preserved by the owner. Listening to the sound of barking deer by a driftwood fire under the brilliant night sky is magical. The private Aarti, nature walk and BBQ as well as ayurvedic massage were all superlative.
Top class food, linen and dining and under canvas or alfresco experience are etched in our minds and great value for an unmatched experience. We can't wait to return to Spashram next year.

The climb down and up isn't for the faint or the physically challenged, but adds to the ambience and our guides were very patient with us! Inder Jit and his staff were attentive but discreet. Pet friendly, it is your choice if you would like to do any activities else you can relax on the private beach and spend the day looking at the Ganges. while everyone says that their place is facing the Ganges, this is actually the place where you have easy and personal access to the Ganges. I, along with my parents who were there longer than me, had a fantastic time.... read more IJ Singh is the most wonderful and knowledgeable host, and was able to educate us fully on the Ganga and extensive flora and fauna.
The bedroom I stayed in was very comfortable, with plenty of bed linen and hot water.
Dinner was a delicious feast, and we were treated to George, the resident guitarist, playing and singing a mixture of English and hindi songs whilst we sat around the fire in the evening.
White water rafting on the Ganga is a must for anyone who visits. The drive to Devaprayag, where you begin your rafting journey, is spectacular, and gives you a good idea of how far below the river is! Whilst rafting, we saw many condors, deer, monkeys and the odd fisherman! The amazing scenery around me is something that I will never forget.
As I said at the beginning, my only regret was that I didn't have more time at this special place. I will for sure be back.
